On this page I will give you a brief insight into my personal development: Mindfulness – Reiki and me. What brought me to this place in my life? What route did I take?
My earlier career as a Chartered Environmentalist (SOE), Health and Safety professional (TechIOSH), and Security professional (BTech Security Management), resulted in me being responsible for the physical and mental wellbeing of staff in hostile environments such as Iraq, Yemen, Colombia and certain African states.
Having experienced and confirmed the value of mindfulness and Reiki in my life. I continued my professional development to become a certified practitioner and trainer in both disciplines, providing me with the necessary skills to equip others with their own mindfulness practices.
Incorporating mindfulness practices in our daily routines enables us to live life in the present moment. Positive mental health can be developed through routine mindfulness practice.
I am now a certified Mindfulness Now teacher with the UK College of Mindfulness Meditation. Mindfulness Now technique is a combination of Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) and Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR).
It is delivered as an eight-week program that offers secular mindfulness training to manage stress, anxiety, chronic pain, and other mental health issues.
